Vegan General Tso Glazed Carrots
Sometimes it can be difficult to find a Vegan General Tso Chinese dish so I decided to create my own.
Orange Glaze Sauce
1 Orange, Juiced
½ Tsp Ginger Root,, Grated
1 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
1 Tsp Raw Fine Sugar
½ Tsp Cornstarch
½ Tsp Red Pepper Flakes or Chili Sauce
¼ Cup of water
1 Tsp Black Sesame Seeds
Combine sauce ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil on medium heat for 5 minutes. Mix well and pour over carrots after fried and ready to eat.
2 Peeled Carrots, Lrg Chop
1 Cup Flour
1 Tsp Cornstarch
½ Tsp Salt & Red Pepper Flakes
¼ Cup Water
30 minutes • Serves 4
Mix together flour, cornstarch, salt, red pepper and water until smooth.
Place carrots into mixture and coat well.
Remove and set carrots aside for 15 min so batter may settle.
Fry in oil oil for 5 minutes or until golden brown
Coat with Orange Glaze Sauce and eat with a side of vegetable rice.
